Amanda Bink is a graduate of Escanaba High School and graduated from Bay College with her Associate in Science degree in Pre-Engineering in May 2016. She was chosen for the 2016 Outstanding Math/Science Graduate by her educators for her academic excellence, leadership, and community service. While in the Pre-Engineering program, Amanda took advanced math courses including Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra – where she achieved straight A’s! She also worked as the chemistry lab assistant for two semesters where she was instrumental in updating the chemical inventory and helping prepare/clean up labs.

“Bay College, more specifically the instructors at Bay College, helped me by providing the foundation I need to excel at a four-year university. Each instructor I have had went above and beyond to make sure I succeeded at Bay,” says Amanda.

Amanda also participated in the Student Poster Symposium, where her group’s poster entitled “Lines and Planes” took second place overall. After completing two years at Bay, Amanda is now fully prepared to transfer to Michigan Technological University this fall to double major in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
